On Sunday 8th February we joined Brisbane City Council and the Heart Foundation for ’10,000 Steps Brisbane, New Leash On Life’. It is a Council initiative to encourage people to walk their dog more for the improved health of both dog and owner.

About 70 people and 30 dogs congregated at Bayside Park. We ran a free ‘Lucky Dip’ and colouring competiton, assessed dog’s weight with a Body Condition Score and answered health related questions. It was an enjoyable morning for dogs, owners and the team at Wynnum Bayside Vet Surgery.

The next local Council event, K-9 Capers, will be on Sunday 3rd May.
